BEKAL FORT
It is the largest and best preserved fort in kerala. It was built by Sivappa Naik of the Ikkeri dynasty ,the fort changed hands over the years,going to the Kollathri Rajas,the Vijayanagar Empire,Tippu sultan and finally the Biritish East India company .Now its is included in the Central Government Historical place. Today the Bekal fort and its surroundings is fast becoming an international tourist destination and a favorites shooting location for film makers. Near the fort there is a beautiful beach residing and it is recognized as one of the beautiest beach. A mosque and a Hanuman temple are located at the entrance of the fort as a symbol of religious harmony.
NITHYANADASRAM
It was founded by Swami Nithynada. It is near to Hsdurg Taluk office. Here Swami Nityananda constructed 45 guhas.One of the attraction Nithyanadasram is full size statue of Swami Nithyanda made of Pnjaloha.
ANANDASRAM
It was found by Swami Rmadas in 1939.It is about 5km from Kanhangad Railway station. There is a hill to the east of the asramam and west, surrounded by landscape.
EDNEER MUTT
It is about 10Kms away from Kasargod town. This Mutt belongs to the Sankaracharya tradition.
KANJAN JUNGA
It is about 16Kms away from Kasaragod towards Sullia road. It is an artist village establish by artist Punichithaya, the renowned artist of the west cost.

CHANDRAGIRI FORT
It is 4kms away from Kasaragod town. It was constructed by Shivappa Naik in 17th century. The longest railway tunnel in Kerala passes through Chandragiri Hills.

It is about 48Km away from Kanhangad. It is formally Known as Modathumalla.It is known as Ooty of Kasaragod.it is situated 780m above sea level. An ideal place for trekking.
